Ethics of Publishing Scientific Articles

The editorial board of the scientific journal considers manuscripts that align with the journal's scope.

The main criteria for accepting or rejecting a manuscript are the relevance and scientific significance of the submitted article, its alignment with the journal's thematic focus, the originality and reliability of the data, the clarity of the material's presentation, and compliance with all the journal's requirements.

The editorial board is committed to taking reasonable measures to identify and prevent the publication of articles involving research misconduct, neither encouraging nor knowingly allowing such violations.

The editorial board guarantees that decisions are made without regard to authors' race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnicity, citizenship, social status, or political preferences.

The journal does not publish materials that may be considered stolen.

The editorial board guarantees full confidentiality throughout the process of receiving, processing, and reviewing articles. Unpublished materials cannot be used for personal purposes or shared with third parties except for reviewers and editorial staff.

The editorial board is committed to safeguarding the integrity of published manuscripts, coordinating any edits, changes, or text reductions with the author.

The editorial board guarantees the consideration of any claims regarding reviewed manuscripts or published materials. Should a conflict arise, necessary measures will be taken to restore any violated rights.

Together with the publisher, the editorial board guarantees the acknowledgment of errors; if identified, corrections, clarifications, retractions, and apologies will be published (Procedure for Retracting or Correcting Articles).

The views of the editorial board do not always align with the perspectives of the authors of the published materials.

Policy on the Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI)

The Editorial Board of "Scientific Tatarstan. Humanities" acknowledges and supports the development of new intellectual technologies in the research field and the use of tools to enhance productivity. The journal closely monitors and documents new advancements in the application and use of artificial intelligence technologies in the publishing sphere.

Authors are required to disclose in their submitted manuscript any use of AI tools, explaining and justifying their purpose in the manuscript. In accordance with the policy of "Scientific Tatarstan. Humanities" this disclosure will be included in the published article to ensure transparency and strengthen trust among all participants in the publication process. The final decision on the validity of AI use is made by the Editorial Board, based on the recommendations of reviewers.

At the same time, the Editorial Board emphasizes that the inclusion of the names of information systems used in the preparation of the manuscript, including ChatGPT, as co-authors of the work is not permitted.

Ethics for Authors of Scientific Publications

Authors guarantee that the manuscript submitted for publication in "Scientific Tatarstan. Humanities" is original and written in one of the journal's languages.

Authors should not submit to the journal an article that has been sent to another journal and is under review, nor an article already published in another journal. Submitting an article to multiple publications simultaneously is unethical behavior and unacceptable. Submitting the same manuscript to another journal(s) concurrently is considered unethical and provides grounds for removing the article from consideration. Confirmation that the material has not been previously published and is not under review in another journal is recorded in the agreement with the author.

Excessive borrowing, as well as plagiarism in any form, including unattributed quotations, paraphrasing, or misappropriation of others' research results, is unethical and unacceptable.

The author (or group of authors) acknowledges that they bear primary responsibility for the novelty and reliability of the scientific research results.

Authors of the article must present reliable results of the conducted research. Knowingly erroneous or falsified statements are unacceptable.

Authors must disclose the sources of research funding (author agreement) to prevent potential conflicts of interest.

Authors are responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions for the publication of materials used in the article. Confirmation of the rights to use materials for publication is recorded in the agreement with the author.

Authors guarantee that the list of co-authors includes only individuals who have made a significant contribution to the research. The final version of the article and its submission for publication must be approved by all co-authors.

All individuals who made a significant contribution to the implementation of the research and the interpretation of the obtained data must be listed as authors of the manuscript.

If an author discovers significant errors or inaccuracies in the article during its review or after its publication, they must notify the journal's editorial board as soon as possible and take joint measures to correct them or withdraw the work.

We urge all authors to maintain scientific correctness in works containing criticism of colleagues. Otherwise, the editorial board reserves the right to reject the material or correct its style in agreement with the author.

During the manuscript review process, the author is obliged to cooperate with the journal's editorial board, promptly respond to comments, and consider the reviewer's recommendations. In case of disagreement with the reviewer's assessment, the author should submit reasoned objections to the editor. Elimination of comments and implementation of the reviewer's recommendations must be completed within one month from the date the review text is sent to the author.

In case of republishing the article, the author must not infringe upon the rights of the journal "Scientific Tatarstan. Humanities" and must indicate the location of the material's first publication.

Ethics of Peer Reviewing Scientific articles

The editorial board ensures the confidentiality of the peer review process and informs reviewers of the necessity to strictly adhere to the ethical principles of manuscript evaluation. The review process of submitted materials is confidential. Unpublished materials may not be used by the editorial board, editors, or reviewers for personal gain.

The review process is objective and independent of commercial interests or transient trends. Priority is given to the scientific value of the research, its substance and novelty, and compliance with the requirements of scientific ethics.

Reviewing is conducted anonymously. The reviewer receives the manuscript without the author's name indicated. In the case of a negative review, its text is provided to the author of the manuscript without the reviewer's signature, surname, position, or place of work. Breach of anonymity is permissible only in the event a reviewer alleges inaccuracy or falsification of the materials presented in the manuscript or the presence of plagiarism.

The reviewer is obliged to provide an objective, reasoned, and substantiated assessment of the materials and research results submitted for publication. Personal criticism of the author is not permitted.

As part of the conclusion, the reviewer completes a review form reflecting the manuscript evaluation criteria. The final section of the review contains an overall assessment of the manuscript, comments, and recommendations.

A reviewer who, in their own judgment, lacks sufficient qualifications to evaluate the manuscript or cannot be objective is obliged to inform the editor.

Upon receiving a positive review for the submitted manuscript, the final decision on the advisability of publication is made by the editorial board.

Quality Control of Peer Review

In certain cases, the editorial board may send an article for additional review, including statistical and methodological review. The journal's editorial board conducts ongoing evaluation of the quality of the peer review process.

The journal's editorial board expects that the review procedure will help:

  • Prevent the publication of substandard articles and filter out research that was not properly planned and executed;

  • Ensure that the data presented in the article are correct and sufficiently detailed;

  • Verify the inclusion of references to prior key works in the field;

  • Confirm the correctness of the author's interpretation of the obtained data and the validity of the conclusions;

  • And, based on this, make a decision on publishing the article, and provide authors with recommendations for its improvement (where necessary).

Policy Regarding Advertising

The editorial board adheres to ethical standards in its activities and, above all, upholds the right to editorial independence. The placement of advertising and informational materials, as well as sponsorship, cannot in any way influence editorial decisions regarding the selection of materials for publication or the editorial content. The journal does not publish materials to accompany advertising and does not sell advertising for specific articles. Advertising and informational materials published in the journal are not mixed with editorial materials.

All decisions regarding the placement of advertising materials are made solely by the Publisher.
